Summer in Southwest Missouri!

with No Comments

Dear Readers,

Summer has officially arrived in the Four States!  We know that the first day of summer is technically June 21st, but with temperatures in the 90s and tomatoes growing on the vine, we can’t help but think our favorite season is already here.

We have been beyond busy with so many commercial and private lawns…and we’re so happy!  If we haven’t told you so lately, we just want to remind you how grateful we are to serve you and your lawncare needs.  We couldn’t do it without you!

As usual, we are staying busy with our own lawn as well.  Jim has finally been able to pick his first tomatoes. He’s happy because our 1-year-old grand-daugther joins him out in the vegetable patch to help!

I’ve decided to change up the flowers in our flowerbeds this year and try some new colors.  So I’ve planted red and yellow Dianthus amongst the rocks that we’re now using just to add a nice pop of brightness.

But the flowers play second fiddle to our HUGE hosta that we like to cal our Grandmother Hosta.  This plant started out in a tiny little pot and has grown to an enormous size over the last four years.  She’s our favorite plant in the whole yard.

Our two French bulldogs continue to enjoy “their” yard…Hoz practices playing soccer and Piper hangs around the fences, planning her escape.

What about you and your family?  Are there any plants, flowers, or fruits and vegetables that you look forward to seeing in your own yard when summer rolls around?  Are you planning on make any changes to make your yard more vibrant? We hope that you not only get to enjoy looking at a well-maintained lawn and garden but that you’re able to share moments with your friends and family in a beautiful outdoor setting.

From our backyard to yours, enjoy the first days of summer!
